Westside Indoor Playground
Westside Indoor Playground (WIPG) is a parent-run cooperative playground open during the school year (September-May), for children ages birth to five. Its purpose has always been to provide a safe, nurturing and accepting environment in which children are encouraged to develop social and motor skills through play.
WIPG has been in existence for over 20 years, but closed during the pandemic. Families participate at the playground along with their children by signing up for opening and closing shifts. You are not required to become a church member in order to join the Westside Indoor Playground.
Westside Indoor Playground (WIPG) reopened on Nov 1, 2023 and the current schedule is Monday to Thursday, 9am to 1pm. There are no fees until 2024.
Beginning in January, the cost to join will be $40 for January through when school is out in June. Each member will need to work about six open or close shifts (number may range depending on number of members) and two toy cleaning shifts per quarter. We will be accepting cash or check (checks will be made out to Bethesda Lutheran Church).
