Church Community Events
Throughout the year, we hold church community events for our Bethesda family and neighbors. We cherish the moments when we can all get together for memorable times of worship, friends, family, and food. Some of our special events are completely free, while others may require pre-registration and/or a small fee. We have annual events, as well as new and one-time events, so we suggest checking back regularly so you don’t miss anything!

Caregiver Support Group
Being a caregiver to a spouse or child or parent is such a difficult job and we want to offer YOU just an hour to be cared for and listened to. Gathering with those in a similar situation might give you insight, hope, joy, and a reason to get out of the house! Please gather with us on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 1pm in the Narnia room. Let this be a time where you can take a moment to breathe and rely on others for a change. If you have any questions, please talk with Pastor Sarah.
Free Community Thanksgiving Feast
Join us November 22 as we give thanks, gather and take part in a huge feast with our neighbors and friends. We will be serving turkey and all the trimmings to hundreds!
Our Monthly Neighborhood Gatherings happen most months of the year and feature a meal (don’t eat before!), a fun family activity, and other activities for kids and adults plus lots of new friends to meet and get to know! Invite your Bethel friends.
Family Advent Activity
Bring your friends and family to Bethesda’s Family Advent Activity, Sunday, Nov 24, 4pm. There will be hot cider and cocoa, goodies, Christmas music, and projects like, an Advent wreath with candles, painted ornaments, cards, and decorated cupcakes. This is a Bethesda Family Event and we’d love to have you all, young and old. Come spend some time making memories with us.
Thanksgiving Eve Service & Pie Social
Please join us for a special Thanksgiving service on the evening before Thanksgiving.
Following the service, there will be a Pie Social. Bring a pie to share! If any ladies would like to help in the afternoon at 3:00 p.m. to set up for this, we could use your help. This is a great way to start the holiday weekend. See you there! Also, remember that the Church will be closed for Thanksgiving and the day after.
Tickets are on sale for $10.00. The Brunch is on December 7th at 10:00 a.m. There will also be a sign-up sheet for decorating a table for this event. We will be supporting the Eugene Mission this year by donating items that have been suggested and are needed – men’s socks and underwear, tooth brushes and tooth paste and razors. These can be brought the day of the brunch. Also, they are in need of lightly used shoes and jackets and during the month of November we will have a box in the narthex for you to donate those things.
