Community Events

We are so proud of our strong community at Bethesda! Part of what makes us close is our constant effort to plan fun community building events. Below you’ll see upcoming and annual events that anyone is free to join. Check back regularly for community events updates.

Family Camp

Every August | Sutton Lake Campground, Florence

$60/campsite for all three nights!

  • 11 Private Campsites on Reserved Loop
  • Sand dune, bathrooms, fire pit onsite
  • Saturday Potluck and Campfire Worship – the rest of the weekend is yours!
  • Sign up in the entryway or contact Pastor Tom.

Every year we reserve an ENTIRE LOOP (very private) at Sutton Campground for a weekend of relaxed fun for Bethesda families. You get your own camping spot in the loop (limited hook-ups available) and we join together for one dinner potluck plus Sunday worship. Otherwise, it’s very laid back and a great chance to get away and hang out on the Oregon Coast. Because the whole loop is ours, kids can bike & run around more freely. Sutton is just outside of Florence and there are awesome trails to Sutton Lake, a very secluded and awesome beach, and lots of nature trails.

Garage Sale Every August!

The 2024 Garage sale was August 16-17 from 9am-3pm. These massive sales are inside, in our community center and outside near the garage. TONS of stuff for sale from tools to books. You can’t miss it!
